Being a wall-mounted safety gate, it requires screwing into the wall or doorway for stability. You can extend it as needed with small and large sections, available separately. The gate is designed for easy one-handed operation in either direction.

For safety when used as a fire surround, maintain a minimum distance of 75 cm (29.6 inches) from any heat or fire source and at least 90 cm (35.5 inches) from an open fire.
